Alan Pardew has given his verdict on Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min after watching him in action against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.

The former Newcastle manager was hugely impressed with Son.

So, what has Alan Pardew said about Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min? Let’s take a look.

Alan Pardew praises Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min

Well, Tottenham Hotspur hammered Newcastle United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this past weekend.

Son Heung-min was one of the best players for Spurs. The South Korea international forward gave two assists and scored a goal from the penalty spot.

Former Newcastle manager Alan Pardew was hugely impressed with Son and has raved about him. The talkSPORT pundit has noted that the £22 million (The Guardian) was a problem for Kieran Trippier.

Pardew said about Son on talkSPORT (7:13 pm, December 10, 2023): “I do really love him. I think he is a brilliant player, and he plays with a smile on his face.”

The pundit added: “He was majestic today. I think he came up against a very tired Trippier. He looked out of sorts today, Trippier, but Son was still electric.”

Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min is world class

In my view, Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min is world class. I believe that the 31-year-old is one of the best players on the planet.

Son does not always get the credit he deserves. Until this season, Harry Kane always took the limelight. And, perhaps deservedly so. After all, the England international striker was Tottenham’s best player.

This season, though, Son is shining. He is the Tottenham captain now, and he is showing on the pitch that he is a leader. He is doing well and is scoring important goals.

Son has scored 10 goals and given four assists in 16 Premier League matches for Tottenham this season. The South Korea international forward has made 284 appearances in the league so far in his career. He has scored 113 goals and given 56 assists in those games.
