Liverpool star, Sadio Mane, has admitted that he ‘can’t wait’ to see more of summer signing, Thiago Alcantara, in a Reds shirt.
The Spanish midfielder was a marquee signing in the summer window but has struggled to get going, with a couple of injuries holding back his progress in the red of Liverpool.

However, Thiago is now back and fit and could well start in today’s crucial clash with Manchester United at Anfield. And Mane, speaking to the club’s official website, insists he is excited to see more from his new teammate.
“I always said Thiago is one of the best in his position in the world, for sure. He was unlucky with the injury, but now he is coming back,” Mane said.
“From his first game I was impressed because I didn’t think he would be that impressive on the pitch! It is coming slowly, slowly and I think he is reaching his best level, which is very good for us and for Liverpool Football Club. I can’t wait. We are looking forward to seeing more of this – his magic! – to help the team together.”

Mane is also fit for the game after picking up a knock against Aston Villa in the cup. The Reds need to beat United to claw them back, or risk going six points behind their bitter rivals.
Thiago, then, could well be vital in ensuring that win.
TBR View: Thiago is world class, his time will come
We’ve already seen glimpses of the Spaniard and his quality is obvious for everyone to see. Intricate passes, a footballing brain, and experience at the very highest level, Thiago is nailed on to be a success, barring injury.
Mane is right to be excited. If Thiago delivers like he did in Munich, Liverpool will win plenty more trophies in the future.
