Paul Merson thinks Liverpool 24-year-old could help thrash Everton tonight
Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has been “brilliant” since arriving at Anfield, according to Paul Merson.
The Sportskeeda columnist has name-checked the 24-year-old ahead of the Reds facing Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park tonight.
Jota joined Liverpool from Wolves in September 2020 for a reported £41million.

To date, the 24-year-old has made 46 appearances for Liverpool, registering 21 goals and three assists.
Jota goes into the meeting with Rafa Benitez’s Everton on the back of three goals from his last two Premier League games.
With Roberto Firmino currently out with a hamstring injury, Jota will have the opportunity to potentially put the Toffees to the sword.
As well as praising the Liverpool gem, Merson predicts that the Reds will win 3-0 against Everton at Goodison.
“I can honestly see only one winner here.
“If you’re an Everton fan, you’re probably hoping that this game doesn’t get out of hand.
“I think what Diogo Jota’s done at Liverpool is brilliant.
“Roberto Firmino is usually the gel that binds the front three together, and I still think he’ll play the bigger games when he’s back.
“At the moment, however, I can’t talk highly enough of Jota.
“Liverpool have far too much quality for Everton and should be able to win this Premier League match.”
