Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella has been reflecting on the game with Tottenham this week and admitted he couldn’t believe what he saw.

Cucurella came on quite early as Levi Colwill looked like a walking red card. The former Brighton full-back has gradually grown into things since Mauricio Pochettino came in and looks to be one of the main beneficiaries of the Argentinian coming into the club.

There has been plenty of reflection on that particular game with Tottenham since it happened. Dejan Kulusevski has spoken of what he saw from the bench.

And speaking to Sky Sports, Cucurella has admitted he also couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

Speaking to Sky, Cucurella admitted he couldn’t quite believe what he was seeing on the pitch.

“In the first half, I can’t believe what I what I watched. On the bench, you can see everything you can do in a game and you saw in these 45 minutes that it was a crazy game and for sure it is better if you win,” Cucurella said.

“But I think it is very important for us because it gave a lot of confidence. For the fans as well, we know it is a very important game for us, for the team and the club.”

In the end, Cucurella ended up playing a big role in the win and the record books will simply read 4-1 to Chelsea in the end.

With Chelsea obviously being the up and coming team this season under Pochettino, results like this at Spurs will count as a big bonus.

Of course, there is improvement to be had for both Cucurella and Chelsea. But coming out on top in such a crazy game will be a boost for the Blues.

Tottenham, meanwhile, will be hoping to perhaps keep a touch more solid in games going forward. Play like they did in the second 45 against Chelsea, and more defeats could end up coming.
