Neal Maupay is yet to start alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin for Everton but says the pair can play together.
Maupay was brought in for £15 million during Frank Lampard’s first summer in charge to help replace the goals lost when Richarlison joined Tottenham.
Calvert-Lewin has also struggled for fitness this and last season but he is back in the fold now and trying to force his way into England’s World Cup squad.
In an interview with Everton’s official website, Maupay was asked about Calvert-Lewin and whether the pair could play together in the same team.

Maupay on Calvert-Lewin
When asked if that was an option in future, Maupay said: “Of course.
“I think I can play alongside Dom as needed because we’re different.
“We could definitely play together and I look forward to doing it but, of course, it’s the manager’s decision.
“Whether it’s him, me, both of us… I don’t think it really matters because we have a good squad and we have the quality to win games in this league.”
Maupay and Calvert-Lewin have both shown they can score goals in the Premier League, and they could be an effective strike duo if Lampard goes that way with it.
But Lampard has largely used a back four this season, which makes it harder to use a front two as well as get the pace and width of the likes of Demarai Gray and Anthony Gordon into the team.
It is good for Lampard to have the options as he looks to reshape his post-Richarlison Everton frontline and continue Calvert-Lewin’s journey back to form and fitness.
