‘I beg, please come’, ‘sign him asap’: Some Arsenal fans react to reported £45m target’s latest display

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reported Gunners target Thomas Partey’s latest display.

Partey’s Atletico Madrid took on Barcelona in La Liga on Tuesday night and left Camp Nou with a point in a 2-2 draw.

The 27-year-old put in a decent performance despite not being able to exert much in an attacking sense, partly due to his side’s limited possession and Barca’s constant pressing.

However, Partey did do well defensively, with several tackles and interceptions ensuring the hosts couldn’t do as much damage as they could have done.

The Atleti and Ghana midfielder has been linked with Arsenal for a number of months and, according to Mundo Deportivo, is a priority target for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Guillem Balague claimed on his official YouTube channel in June that Atletico want Partey to sign a new deal to remove his estimated £45million release clause – but the player is seemingly refusing to sign.
