Newcastle United have been linked with a multitude of managers in recent weeks.
The Magpies are under new ownership after a Saudi-led consortium took over the St James’ Park outfit.
The new Newcastle owners parted company with Steve Bruce earlier this month, and the search is underway for his replacement.

One manager who has been linked with the SJP reins is Erik ten Hag, the current Ajax head coach.
The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday that Newcastle were willing to offer him £6m-a-year after tax – £11m gross – to tempt him away from Amsterdam.
The package would put ten Hag behind Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola and Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, who reportedly earn £20m and £15m a year respectively.
However, Fabrizio Romano doesn’t feel that Newcastle will be successful in their pursuit of the Dutchman.

“We had many rumours around Erik ten Hag because it is true that he is so appreciated by many clubs,” he said on Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE.
“He’s appreciated by Man United’s board, by Newcastle, so many people are around this manager because he’s doing a great job with Ajax.
“I am told that it is not going to be easy to change his mind, he wants to complete the season as Ajax manager unless something crazy happens.
“This is what he wants and for Newcastle it will be close to impossible to change his mind as of now in this moment.”
