'I am really happy': Arteta shares what he's spotted Arsenal players doing when Jesus is playing
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised Gabriel Jesus for how quickly he has taken to life in red and white.
The Gunners signed the Brazil international from Manchester City at the start of July.
Jesus was Arteta’s main target up front, and he has hit the ground running at the Emirates Stadium.
The 25-year-old has scored a staggering seven goals in four pre-season outings for Arsenal.
And on his Emirates debut on Saturday, Jesus weighed in with a hat-trick in the 6-0 hammering of Sevilla.
After the game, Arteta was asked whether he expected Jesus to hit the ground running so quickly at Arsenal.
“We were hoping that was going to happen,” football.london quotes Arteta as saying.
“Obviously a player has to adapt to a new city, a new club, new teammates.
“And he’s done it in a really fast and natural way.”
Arteta then spoke proudly of how Jesus’ teammates are already fully in tune with their new colleague on the pitch.
“You can see the way they look for him on the pitch,” he said.
“On and off the ball and what he’s able to transmit as well. So I am really happy with him.”

Back in January, it looked as though Arsenal had made a big mistake in letting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang go and not bring in a replacement.
However, the Gunners hierarchy didn’t want to settle for any player they felt wouldn’t actively improve the team.
Arsenal waited until the summer, and they’ve got themselves a world-class striker in Jesus.
It’ll be exciting to see how the Gunners – and Jesus – fare over the coming months.
If the former City man can spearhead his side to the Champions League, or even silverware, £45m will seem a bargain.
Arsenal’s next game is their Premier League opener, away at Crystal Palace next Friday.
