Hull City starlet Jarrod Bowen took his season tally to 18 goals as he continues to shine in the Championship.
Bowen was linked with a January move to Tottenham Hotspur (The Sun) and he would have been an exciting option.
But the move failed to materialise because Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was not convinced by the Hull youngster, according to The London Evening Standard.
Bowen once again let his football do the talking as he netted a match-winning brace for the Tigers on Saturday.
The 22-year-old winger netted both goals in a 2-0 win over Birmingham City to take his tally to 18 for the season and once again prove Pochettino wrong.

And it could be another blow for Tottenham as Norwich City and Southampton entered the race over the weekend, according to the print edition of The Sun on Sunday via HITC Sport.
Although Tottenham is the biggest draw, Pochettino’s previous comments could put Bowen off a move to North London.
Instead, he might fancy a switch to Norwich (if they win promotion) or Southampton (if they stay up) with first-team opportunities more readily available.
Pochettino’s decision to ignore Bowen could come back to haunt him in the long-term if the exciting young talent fulfils his full potential.
