Hull fans slam Leeds striker Patrick Bamford on Twitter

A number of Hull City fans have taken to Twitter to criticise Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford after a clash just before the Whites scored their second goal in Tuesday’s 2-0 win.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are back at the top of the Championship after securing the three points. They were however, made to work hard for the victory, with the game goalless until the final 20 minutes.

The Whites then produced a blistering counter attack that saw Mateusz Klich set up Bamford who had sprinted from one end of the pitch to the other to keep up with play.

Bamford’s effort hit the post and found its way into the path of Gjanni Alioski, who did score. Bamford meanwhile, kept moving forward after his attempt and collided with Hull goalkeeper George Long.

It must be noted that Bamford was never going to be able to stop immediately after his attempt. And the footage appears to show the forward looking at Alioski and away from Long as they collide.

Unsurprisingly, Leeds supporters believe that there is absolutely no case to answer. But some Hull fans are adamant that Bamford knew exactly what he was doing.

Here is what some of the visiting fans made of the incident…
