Hugo Lloris has been speaking to the Ham and High about how his French countryman Tanguy Ndombele has settled into life at Tottenham.
The Spurs captain has been impressed and also feels there’s more to come from the club record signing once Mauricio Pochettino is able to help him improve.
He said: “He needs to find his place, in a new team and in a new country and a new city, but I think he has done quite well in pre-season.
“He is a modern midfielder, a proper box-to-box midfielder and he is going to improve with the players around him and the coaching staff and he is going to bring all his talent that we know.”

The likes of Lloris will be crucial in terms of helping Ndombele settle – Moussa Sissoko is another, even if the pair may well be battling for the same place in the side.
Mauricio Pochettino has improved nearly every player at Tottenham and Ndombele has all the ability to be yet another – he can do everything a central midfielder is asked to do these days.
He is the only one of Tottenham’s summer signings to have been given pre-season with his new team-mates and that should go a long way to helping him hit the ground running.
