Hugo Lloris has told Wednesday’s press conference the one thing that Antonio Conte will give Tottenham – hinting it was missing under Nuno.
Nuno was replaced little more than 24 hours after being sacked, as Daniel Levy’s perseverance paid off. Conte duly obliged, penning a short-term deal.
It is an appointment that has delighted Spurs fans. But they may have to wait to see Conte in the dugout – beyond Thursday’s match against Vitesse.
Conte is awaiting confirmation he can take the side, needing a working Visa in order to do so. It is only a matter of time; he will definitely face Everton.

Speaking to Wednesday’s press conference, Lloris has identified something that Conte will change already – that Conte will give Spurs structure.
“He’s going to give a proper structure to the team,” Lloris said, as per Football London. “As players we need to demand more from each other.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to work under one of the greatest manager of the last few years. Now is not a time for words. it’s time to work.”
Lloris on Conte: Tottenham fans should be excited with verdict

It is something that was missing from Nuno’s Spurs. That spine, that regular system, the knowledge of players knowing what they needed to do.
They looked unprepared, bereft of confidence and lacking in any idea of how to change things. That will be completely different under Conte.
Tottenham fans should be excited. Having only watched one training session on Tuesday, Lloris is already noticing what Conte will change.
Whether he is in the dugout against Vitesse remains to be seen. But Conte is a massive boost, and it has already sparked a big change among players.
