Tottenham Hotspur fans have every reason to be excited.
The north Londoners are currently top of the Premier League after nine games, a position they haven’t actually been in this deep into a Premier League season before.
Jose Mourinho has been in charge for a year now, and the Portuguese appears to be working his magic.

His impact on Harry Kane and Heung-min Son has been evident, and the two superstars may just spearhead a Tottenham title charge with the help of a supporting cast that is packed with quality.
But there’s one man who hasn’t really come in for too much credit – outside the Spurs fanbase at least – in recent times, and that’s Hugo Lloris.
Last season, the Frenchman suffered an horrific elbow dislocation last season against Brighton, which required surgery.
Remarkably, Lloris only spent a few months on the sidelines before he was back between the sticks and it seems ever since, the 33-year-old has been impressively consistent.
TBR’s View – Lloris form underrated in Spurs’ improvement
There’s been a lot to like about Spurs this season, especially the form of Kane and Son and the way the team counter-attacks.

But Lloris’ form has been superb since his injury, and he deserves major credit for his work when his confidence could easily have taken a big knock.
£100,000-a-week star (Spotrac) Lloris has been known to drop clanger every now and then in the past, but under Mourinho he has looked so assured, and this kind of form might just be another reason to class Spurs as genuine title contenders.
