Hugo Ekitike has described a winger linked with a Liverpool transfer in the summer as “crazy fast.”
Amid a relatively poor season for Liverpool so far, Hugo Ekitike has been something of a bright spark in the Reds’ side.
The Frenchman has impressed fans when called upon, even if he has occasionally played second fiddle to Alexander Isak.

Out of the abundance of signings Arne Slot made this summer, Ekitike has definitely stood out. But could he have been joined by one of his international teammates?
Hugo Ekitike on Bradley Barcola
Speaking to ESPN, Ekitike was asked to describe the French squad in one word when PSG winger Bradley Barcola came up. He didn’t hesitate, giving not one but two words: “crazy fast.”
The only other name of interest for Liverpool fans was the struggling Ibrahima Konate, whom Ekitike described as “brother.”
Barcola won the Champions League and Ligue 1 with PSG last season, proving vital to their success, boasting an impressive goal and assist record:
| Stat | Total |
| Games Played (All Competitions) | 59 |
| Goals | 21 |
| Assists | 19 |
| Goal Contributions | 40 |

He is also just that – “crazy fast”. To think that speed could have been possessed at Anfield this season.
Liverpool wanted to sign Bradley Barcola in the summer
Barcola was linked with a Liverpool move in the summer, with the Reds declaring interest in June, with the Frenchman speculated as an Alexander Isak alternative after a difficult pursuit of the Swede.

We now know that the move never materialised, and that Liverpool did, in fact, get their man in Isak.
TBR Football reported PSG had no intention of selling Barcola – and that looked to be a sensible move, with Barcola a regular under Luis Enrique.
Whether Liverpool or another Premier League side moves for Barcola in future remains to be seen. He’s a young, outrageous talent, and England’s top flight would be lucky to have him.
