'Huge this': Some Leicester fans rejoice as club announce four-year deal for 'terrific' ace
Leicester City have confirmed that Harvey Barnes has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The Foxes announced on their official website that the attacker has penned a deal until 2025. Barnes took the number 7 shirt ahead of the new season, and now the attacker has committed his future with Leicester.
Barnes is regarded as one of Leicester’s most exciting talents as well as a future England international. Last season saw the Burnley-born forward score 13 goals in all competitions for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
It is a positive update for the Foxes. And Barnes himself is pleased to have signed a new contract with Leicester.
The 23-year-old said to the club’s official website: “I’ve been here for so many years now, it feels like home. For me, it was a no-brainer. Of course, I wanted to extend my stay here.
“It’s been something that’s been going on in the background and to sign now is great. It’s right at the start of a new season as well, which I know everyone is excited about.”
With Leicester once again competing in Europe this season, the Foxes are continuing to build one of the most promising sides in the Premier League.
And on social media, Leicester fans were buzzing that Barnes had signed a new-long contract with the club.
