A number of Huddersfield Town fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from various outlets, including the Daily Mail, suggesting that Leeds United coach Carlos Corberan is edging closer to taking over from Danny Cowley.
Cowley’s departure was announced over the weekend. He had taken the club to the brink of safety in the Championship with an impressive victory over West Brom on Friday.

However, The Sun reported shortly after his departure that there was a disagreement with the owner over transfers. The report also noted that Corberan was one of the names that the club were speaking to.
The Daily Mail has since suggested that Leeds’s players believe that the Spaniard will leave Elland Road to take the role.

Corberan initially arrived as under-23 boss. He has remained in the role since, but Marcelo Bielsa also promoted him to his first-team staff in the months following his appointment.
Many Leeds fans admitted that they could not help but be disappointed at the prospect of losing Corberan. Meanwhile, plenty of Huddersfield supporters seem to be excited by the links.
Corberan’s under-23s were able to play an exciting brand of football designed to give the youngsters the best chance of being ready for a call-up to the first-team.
And while he lacks experience as a boss of his own side, it does look telling that Bielsa added him to his inner-circle of coaches.
Some Huddersfield fans fear that it may be a real gamble to appoint Corberan. But many hope that he can prove why he is so highly-rated by Bielsa should he get the job.
Here is how some of the Huddersfield supporters reacted to the reports…
