Leeds Untied host Brentford Saturday afternoon in the Championship and will have to try deal with the league’s top scorer Neal Maupay.
The Whites are top of the league table going into the final round of fixates before the international break and are beginning to rediscover their top form.
But currently have their attention on facing sixth-placed Brentford at Eland Road and need to be wary of their potent attack.
Leeds’ preferred centre-back pairing of Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson are set to face arguably the toughest test they will come across in the division in the shape of Maupay.
Maupay has scored nine goals already this season in his nine league games and has been terrorising Championship defences forfun.
The 22-year-old is a pacy centre-forward that is willing to run in behind and has also proven he’s got predatory instincts in front of goal around the six-yard box.
Jansson and Cooper will be more than willing to get physical with the striker, but will both need to be on top of their game to deal with his movement.
Manager Marcelo Bielsa should put his faith in defenders to cope with the Brentford dangerman and Leeds have looked solid at the back for the most part, but you can’t prepare for individual magic.
