Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has made a brilliant start to the season at Elland Road and has now linked up for international duty with Poland.
The in-form 28-year-old featured twice for his nation during the last international break and will hope for an opportunity in upcoming matches against Portugal and Italy.
Klich has taken the Championship by storm so far this campaign for third-placed Leeds, but it will be interesting to see how he fares against top opposition.
There is every chance he could face a midfield battle against Portugal and Wolves’ deep-lying playmaker Ruben Neves on Thursday night in a Nations League fixture.
Klich has been directly involved in seven goals in 14 games so far this season for Leeds and been used to dominating the midfield area, but will have his work cut out against Portugal if he plays.
Neves is one of the young stars that appears to be part of a new-look Portugal outfit and is a highly-rated talent that is beginning to make an impact for Wolves in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old is a technically gifted central midfielder that is brilliant in possession and it will be a great way for Klich to test himself against someone of his calibre.
According to the Sun, Manchester United and Manchester City could be in a January scramble to sign £60million-rated Neves from Wolves.
