Attack
One big decision Antonio Conte has to make is where to play Eden Hazard, who has rediscovered some of his best form over recent months.
The Belgian usually plays on the left, but with defensive duties a must when playing on either wing for Conte, Hazard may be deployed just behind the striker – a similar role that Sadio Mane played at Southampton.
This would give the 25-year-old more freedom to roam across the front line and he will no doubt drift out to the left in order to cut in and produce moments of class.
Diego Costa will be expected to spearhead the attack during the Italians’ reign, assuming that the striker doesn’t leave west London.
In the title-winning season, Costa and Hazard built a fantastic relationship on the pitch and were the match-winners in many games in Mourinho’s second spell at the club.
The Spaniard has the talent to again be challenging for the golden boot but it remains to be seen whether Conte and Costa despise or embrace each others’ personalities.
