Pulled out of position, Arbeloa didn’t seem to know if he was playing at right back or as a central defender and it showed.

Andre Ayew (for Fernandes, 63) – 5

Failed to have any influence on the game, playing wide but had little opportunity with poor service his way.

Andy Carroll (for Noble, 73) – 6

A final throw of the dice was to put Carroll on, and his physical style was an improvement, but it was too little too late.
