Mousa Dembele – He is one of the most consistent midfielders in the league and he competed well in the centre of the park on Saturday evening. The Belgian completed five ball recoveries and ended the match with a pass success rate of 96%. He also showed his ability to carry the ball with three successful dribbles. 7

Victor Wanyama – The former Southampton man had to fill in at centre-back in the second half and performed well in the role. He completed seven ball recoveries and helped his side hold out for what could be a pivotal point in a match where they perhaps deserved nothing. 6

Danny Rose – He wasn’t as good as Kyle Walker on the other side of the pitch, with his passing a notable disappointment. Rose ended the match with a pass success rate of 68%, which is considerably lower than his season average. The left back did make a crucial challenge when he was the last man to prevent a certain City goal when the score was 2-1. 5

Dele Alli – After a slow start to the season, Dele Alli is pressing on to prove himself as one of the best talents in world football. His goal this evening was an excellent display of intelligent movement and clinical finishing, as he ghosted in and headed past Claudio Bravo. There were some other good touches from the Englishman, but it was his goal that will be remembered for this performance. 7
