How Arsenal rated in Monday night’s FA Cup victory over Sutton United

Lucas Perez – The Spaniard was arguably the best performer for Arsenal. He scored the opening goal, albeit somewhat fortuitously, while his link-up play was superb. It was also impressive to see him working hard for the team and that is highlighted by his three successful tackles. 8

Alex Iwobi – At times, he looked a class above, but the lack of consistency with his final ball remains a big issue. He played okay and did what was required to get his side through to the next round. The 20-year-old contributed the assist for the second goal. 5

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – He looks at home in central midfield and he was making some incredible runs forward with the ball. There was one occasion where he flew down the wing and beat two or three defenders using his lightning pace. Wenger should give him more game-time in the centre of the park. 6

Ainsley Maitland-Niles – He was tidy without ever making a big impact on the game. It was good to see him get more game-time though. 5

Alexis Sanchez – It was a questionable decision to bring him on as there was a chance he would get injured and a couple of challenges did go in on him. He didn’t get a goal or an assist, but he did have some quality touches on the ball. 5
