Jesse Lingard – Not his finest game for Manchester United, struggling to make an impact on a stubborn 10-man West Ham defence from his wide position. Will still be wondering how he missed an open goal in the first half from about a yard out. 6.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Didn’t have his best game of the festive period, perhaps feeling the strain of the fixture schedule after only returning from injury not too long ago. Was a game where runners off the ball were more effective than those on the ball, but he will be a key part of the side for years. 6.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic – You just can’t keep the man quiet. Had one of his more anonymous game for United at London Stadium, unable to penetrate a West Ham defence that sat deep, but still pops up in the right place at the right time to score. Now has 18 goals in all competitions this season, one more than United’s top-scorer across the whole of last campaign. 7.
Juan Mata – Has now been involved in 40 Manchester United goals since his debut, only second to Wayne Rooney, and added another attacking dimension when he came on for Darmian at half-time. Excellent movement to track his run on the penalty spot, and a neat first-time finish. 8.
Marcus Rashford – Completely changed the shape of the game in the final half hour, and had West Ham’s poor right-back on toast. His change of pace proved too much for Bilic’s side, and was unlucky not to score when his shot came back off of the post. Showed he’s growing in composure and maturity with the way he waited and watched Mata’s run for United’s first goal. 9.
Chris Smalling – Came on for the last 25 minutes and did what he had to do effectively as West Ham pushed up the pitch for an equaliser. Will be glad to have more minutes under his belt. 6.
