How Manchester United rated as they cantered to victory over hapless Leicester

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Capitalised superbly on slack defending to run and slot home United’s opener, and had one of his best performances in England so far. Was a huge part of anything United produced in the final third and put the icing on the cake with a defence-splitting one-two for Mata’s goal. Carried the ball and made direct runs at Leicester’s defence. All-round brilliance. 9.

Marcus Rashford – Tried to stretch Leicester’s out-of-sorts defence with his pace early on, and looked the most threatening for Mourinho’s side. Forced Schmeichel into a smart save just before United’s opener and continues to impress whenever he’s on the pitch. 8.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Leicester’s midfield five made it a frustrating afternoon for the Swede, who had to come deep to get a sight of the ball at times. Took his chance well though and tucked the ball home first-time to double his side’s lead – you just can’t keep the man off the scoresheet for long. 7.

Daley Blind – Had a tidy second-half, tucking into the United back-line well and dealing with Leicester’s attempts to find a way back into the match. 6.

Ashley Young – Replaced Rashford late on, but just seems that his United career is dwindling to an end. Used his pace well to relieve late Leicester pressure. 6.

Marouane Fellaini – Came on for his customary ten minutes of a Premier League match, and put himself about in the midfield as we’ve come to expect from the tall Belgian. 6.
