How Manchester City’s players rated in their embarrassing defeat to Everton

There have been a few awful defeats for Manchester City and this one could be the most devastating of all as Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal all won yesterday. Also it was the heaviest defeat that Pep Guardiola has suffered in league football. It was a similar story to all of their defeats, as their defending was once again not up to the level that it needs to be. Pep Guardiola is struggling to get his methods across to his players, but that is partly due to poor recruitment. He didn’t address the squad’s main weaknesses and is now suffering for it. Claudio Bravo – It was always going to be difficult for the goalkeeper after replacing a cult hero like Joe Hart. His shot stopping hasn’t been good enough and he should have done better for the first. Although his distribution was good, he is struggling to stop shots and that is his primary job. 4
