Easily beaten by Diego Costa to equalise, Otamendi was the most adept to deal with the physical threat presented by the Chelsea striker but he failed to handle it.

As is often the case, guilty of overplaying when under pressure from the physical Diego Costa and then struggled up against the Spaniard. Bullied for much of the game by the Chelsea attack.

Aleksander Kolarov – 5

Covering for Leroy Sane, it was a difficult afternoon for the converted left back. Didn’t have the pace to keep up when Chelsea broke through on the counter to add their two decisive later goals.
