Yaya Toure – Carried on his rejuvenation under Guardiola after their falling out earlier in the season, playing well in the holding role. Maintained and distributed possession well and, for the most part, kept his defence well-guarded from Tottenham’s imposing attackers. 7.

Leroy Sane – Showed the sort of commitment and desire that Guardiola has been crying out for to reach the ball ahead of Lloris for City’s goal, and caused problems throughout with his shift of pace and direction. Could start to form a lethal partnership with Jesus in the future. 8.

David Silva – Denied by a brilliant Lloris save and played his part well in the final third as City provided the first-half onslaught on the Tottenham goal. Worked tirelessly in midfield to make things happen, and would have deserved an assist. 7.

Kevin de Bruyne – After an anonymous performance at Goodison Park, De Bruyne was at his fluent best again. Lovely shape on the ball for Sane to take his assist tally to double figures for the season and was in the right place at the right time to stab home. Will be relieved to score after a run of 41 shots without a goal, and will take a lot of confidence from a superb display. 9.

Raheem Sterling – Was lively throughout for Guardiola’s side, using his pace to good effect against the test of Rose and Walker, but still, lacks the cutting edge in the final third.  Denied a stonewall penalty in the passage of play that led to Tottenham’s equaliser – will be a huge talking point. 7.
