Gael Clichy – Got nowhere near to blocking Walker’s cross after being drawn into the middle of City’s defence, and on the whole had the worst performance out of the back-line. If Guardiola digs deep into his pockets and signs a defender, Clichy’s spot could be in trouble. 5.
Aleksander Kolarov – Looks a little off the pace in comparison to a few seasons ago, and the 31-year-old’s number could be up soon. Can’t be deemed as a reliable defender and seems to be lacking his attacking impetus of old. Lost track of Alli for his goal due to bad positioning. 5.
Nicolas Otamendi – Still looks unconvincing at the heart of Manchester City’s back-line, and was fortunate that his side possessed more attacking threat this week otherwise Spurs could have exploited his lack of form more. Left Son unmarked to sweep home. 6.
Pablo Zabaleta – Returned to defence after his midfield experiment, and looked far more comfortable. Still offered his customary attacking impetus down the right-hand side and thrashed just wide of the post early on, and defended as stubbornly as we’re accustomed to. 7.
