Yaya Toure – Played the holding midfield role efficiently and covered his back-four well throughout. Ran tirelessly from box-to-box, missing the top corner of Boruc’s goal by an inch during the first-half, and he used his aerial presence to defend numerous Bournemouth crosses. 7.
Kevin de Bruyne – Grew into the game as it went along, but couldn’t match the threat that the speed of Sane and Sterling carried. Wasn’t his best 90 minutes, but he’ll bounce back quickly. 6.
David Silva – Yet another masterful midfield performance from the silky Spaniard, showcasing his unnerving ability to complete seemingly impossible passes. Distributed the ball well out wide to set City on their way, and he was unlucky not to top his evening off with a goal. 8.
Raheem Sterling – Used his pace extremely well in build-up play and was a constant thorn in Bournemouth’s side, deservedly rewarded with an instinctive first-half goal. Produced a scintillating individual moment to cross for Aguero’s goal to top off one of his finest performances for City. 9.
Leroy Sane – Repaid Guardiola’s decision to start the youngster with an impressive performance, using the width of the pitch to terrify the opposition defence with his acceleration. Lightning on the break as Bournemouth pushed for an equaliser, and hammered the crossbar late on. 8.
