Nathaniel Clyne – The full back was his usual consistent self and delivered a good display against Stoke. Although the goal came down his side, he ended the game with two successful tackles and an 82% pass accuracy. 6
Dejan Lovren – It was a disappointing evening for Lovren as he couldn’t deal with Stoke’s front line. Liverpool always looked vulnerable at the back, despite being dominant for the majority of the game. He could have done better with the goal and this is an area that Jurgen Klopp may look to improve next month. 5
Ragnar Klavan – The centre back position is a big weakness for Jurgen Klopp and he needs to improve it if his side are going to challenge for major honours. They struggled against the physicality of Stoke today. Klavan did okay, but he wasn’t convincing. 5
James Milner – It was a great attacking performance from Milner as he offered a genuine threat down the left hand side, while making an incredible nine successful tackles. He contributed to several attacks and got the assist for Roberto Firmino’s goal. Milner has become more intelligent with the ball and his new role at left back is allowing him to thrive in a red shirt. 7
