Nathaniel Clyne – 6
Quiet afternoon for the England international, who didn’t do much wrong but didn’t do much to stand out from the crowd. Lacking his usual attacking threat down the right flank.
Joel Matip – 6
At fault for West Ham’s second as he failed to adapt to the looping ball, but on the whole he had a good game and brought composure to the Liverpool defence. Looked threatening when going forwards for set pieces.
Dejan Lovren – 6
Subbed off at half time presumably due to injury but he again looked unconvincing even with Joel Matip alongside him after last week’s debacle. A break from the team for him may not be the worst thing in the world.
James Milner – 7
Worked tirelessly throughout and looked to get forward whenever he could, Milner helped to cover for Lovren at times and dealt well with the movement of West Ham’s attack.
