How Leicester City rated on a battling night against Sevilla in the Champions League

Danny Drinkwater – Provided next to no protection in front of the Leicester defence as Sevilla attacked in waves, failing to rekindle the form he had last season. May not have had his best game in a Leicester shirt, but he found himself in space and delivered a super ball for Vardy to tap in. 6.

Marc Albrighton – Used his pace well on the break on the odd occasion, but left Fuchs too isolated down Leicester’s left-hand side too often. Seemed to rush and panic whenever he was on the ball, turning possession over too often, and could potentially make way for Gray in three weeks. 4.

Wilfred Ndidi – Guilty of giving the ball away too often, and can count himself very fortunate to not have given away a potentially damaging late penalty. Showed more grit and determination as the game went on, and was visibly lifted once Vardy hauled Leicester back in to the match. 6.

Riyad Mahrez – Ranieri would have been hoping for an influential game from the Algerian, but this failed to materialise. Moved from a central position to a wider one in the second-half but still struggled to have an impact. Leicester will need a big performance in the return leg. 5.
