New Leeds manager Jesse Marsch was always going to face a difficult task in replacing Marcelo Bielsa but he is making a good fist of things at the moment.
A couple of dramatic and late wins in the week before the international break ensured Marsch got the points on the board he has felt Leeds’ performances have deserved. The American coach has come in and been open and honest about how he sees things at Elland Road. In a way, he’s been refreshing.

For Leeds’ players, one of the biggest changes they were always going to see was the training sessions. Marcelo Bielsa’s methods were well known for being gruelling for the players. Some, in fact, even suggested those methods had led to the injury troubles this season at Leeds.
However, while Marsch is also known for wanting hard work, a report from The Telegraph has claimed that those inside Leeds have simply used two words to describe Marsch’s sessions. Those two words are simply ‘less intense’.
Leeds’ players are also thought to have been delighted at being given some time off over the break. On the whole, it very much seems like Marsch has put his stamp on things already.
