How Largie Ramazani is doing at Valencia after Leeds United loan transfer

Leeds United conducted plenty of transfer business throughout the season, with Daniel Farke’s squad transformed once again.

While plenty of areas were strengthened, question marks were left over the options available to the manager in the forward areas.

With a late move for another winger falling through, Leeds fans were left frustrated as they watched Largie Ramazani leave the club on loan without a replacement.

The forward joined Valencia in Spain, where his start to life has been a little slow so far.

Largie Ramazani’s statistics at Valencia so far this season

After a few devastating losses in the 2024 summer transfer window, Leeds pushed hard to sign Largie Ramazani from Almeria for roughly £10 million.

In the end, the move didn’t quite work out as he started just seven Championship matches, with Daniel Farke not quite trusting him.

That led to Ramazani’s exit on loan to Valencia, where there was some hope that he could recapture his best form.

So far, though, that hasn’t happened, as the 24-year-old is yet to actually start a game for his new club.

The former Belgian youth international made an impact on his debut, however, picking up an assist in a 3-0 win against Getafe from the bench.

But the games since haven’t seen that same success, as four substitute appearances have followed, totalling just 85 minutes of La Liga action so far.

After three games without a win in the league, there may be a chance that Ramazani can force his way into contention.

But for now, it seems as though his role has been reduced to that of an impact sub.

That hasn’t stopped the player from speaking out about how much he is enjoying life at his new club, however.

What Largie Ramazani has said about Leeds and Valencia

So, after a tricky year at Elland Road, Ramazani is on the search for some form and a new lease of life.

While he remains to see if that can happen at Valencia, he has been quizzed about his time at Leeds so far.

Speaking with El Desmarque, he was asked about why things haven’t gone well at Leeds, and he responded: “Coming here [Valencia] can help me a lot.”

Not wishing to look back too much, the winger continued to praise the environment around him at Valencia.

When asked a few times about former Leeds assistant Carlos Corberan, who is the current Valencia boss, he responded that he wants to: “Give the best version of myself, enjoy my football and help the team.”

And added: “The coach always pushes me to work hard. I want to give my best.”

It’s early in the season and there is a chance for him to change his fortunes, but Ramazani will be eyeing a start for Valencia sooner rather than later.
