Jakub Kiwior was one of Arsenal’s most consistent performers last season, despite his general lack of game time until the end of the campaign.
The Polish international had impressed when called upon, largely to deal with an injury to Gabriel Magalhaes.
That was despite previous rumours surrounding his future at Arsenal, which seemed unclear each and every window.
In the end, the summer brought about the end of his time at the club, as Kiwior joined Porto on a season-long loan, which has an option to buy clause included.
Now, a few months on from the move, the defender is seemingly fitting in well and has continued to go from strength to strength.

Jakub Kiwior’s start at FC Porto since Arsenal switch
Kiwior’s move to Porto came with the idea of landing more game time, having largely played as a back-up at Arsenal.
That promise has been fulfilled so far, with five appearances made from a possible six available to him.
The 25-year-old has started all four league games he could play in, and it’s no coincidence that Porto sit top of the league.
Jakub Kiwior’s performances have been so impressive that his side are actually yet to concede a goal with him on the pitch, the latest of those coming in a 0-0 draw with Benfica.
Since the move, Sofascore haven’t given him a rating below 7.1, further underlining just how well he has adjusted.
With a potential permanent deal on the cards at the end of the season, Kiwior could prove to be a huge exit from Arsenal.

What Jakub Kiwior has said about his Porto transfer
For some, the move from Arsenal to Porto may be seen as a slight downgrade, but not for Kiwior.
The defender has backed the switch, as he continues to build up experience in his time away from the Emirates Stadium.
While on international duty, he caught up with press and said: “I don’t think it’s a step back. FC Porto shares a lot in common with Arsenal, they are both big clubs, with great ambitions, fantastic fans, stadiums, and history.
“It wasn’t hard to say goodbye to London, considering the sporting prospects.”
“At one point, they [Porto] contacted me every day. They fought with all their might. I saw that they cared.
“They didn’t give up and didn’t get discouraged, despite many rejections from Arsenal. They pursued their goal and achieved it. I saw that they didn’t give up, so I thought it was worth going down that path.
“I had many offers, but at a certain point, I bet on FC Porto.”
It’s a move that certainly seems to be working out for him, as he continues to impress in Portugal.
