Ross Barkley – Seems to be looking more like the player he was a few seasons ago after an underwhelming start to the campaign. Twisted and turned his way through City’s midfield at times, having the better of Zabaleta throughout, and looked a genuine threat. His performance would have done his confidence the world of good. 7.
Kevin Mirallas – Looked lively throughout for Everton, offering the most assistance to Lukaku up front whilst operating on the right-hand side. Excellent vision to pick out the Belgian for Everton’s first goal, and deserved his own after a lovely low drive into the corner. 8.
Romelu Lukaku – If Everton score, it generally means Lukaku scores. Has now been involved in eight goals in his last nine Premier League games at Goodison Park (five goals and three assists), and took his goal superbly on Sunday giving Bravo little chance. Held the ball up invaluably for the Toffees to give his defence respite from City’s attacks. 7.
Morgan Schneiderlin – Understandably a little rusty after not getting much game time this season, and his first touch was a little off the pace at times. Stayed resolute in the tackle as City pushed to get back in the game, and will surely be a good asset for Everton. 6.
James McArthur – Slotted in well as Everton saw off Manchester City’s attacking advances, but didn’t have enough time on the field to have an effect. Could be in danger of being pushed down the pecking order after the emergence of Davies and signing of Schneiderlin. 5.
Ademola Lookman – One shot, one goal – it’s easy this Premier League isn’t it? Only came on in the 89th minute but reacted sharply to slot underneath Bravo for the dream debut. N/A.
