Everton put a real spanner in Manchester City’s Premier League title challenge as they thrashed Pep Guardiola’s side 4-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

Romelu Lukaku’s first-half effort had given Ronald Koeman’s side the lead, before Kevin Mirallas doubled the advantage shortly after the break with a neat finish into the corner.

As City threw bodies forward in an effort to get back into the match, 18-year-old Tom Davies broke free, getting a return ball and smartly lifting the ball over Bravo.

Everton’s January signing from Charlton, Ademola Lookman, then finished off the rout with his first touch at Goodison Park to complete Pep Guardiola’s miserable afternoon on Merseyside.

The result sees Everton go four points clear of West Brom in 7^th, whilst Manchester City lose the chance to go level on points with Tottenham in second place, now sitting ten points behind Chelsea.
