It seems that Barcelona are struggling to find a buyer for Philippe Coutinho. MARCA is reporting that Barcelona have failed to find anyone willing to spend a fee in the region of €80 million (£73m) for the Brazilian. Loan club Bayern Munich are not keen on a permanent deal whilst the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are shirking at that price-tag.
So should Everton consider an ambitious move to bring in the former Liverpool hero?
It would certainly be an eye-catching move to sign a player who left Anfield for a massive transfer fee in January 2018.

But how is it potentially possible?
It comes down to Everton’s recent dealings with Barcelona.
Director of football Marcel Brands has been proactive when it comes to picking off the strugglers at the Nou Camp. Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina, and Andre Gomes were all out of favour at the Catalan club but Everton have since made all three pivotal members of their team.
The report from MARCA suggests that Barcelona could be interested in sending Coutinho out on loan in light of their difficulties selling the player. It would allow Everton the chance to bring him in without that massive potential transfer fee.
His wages would undoubtedly prove a massive stumbling block but Everton could certainly come to an agreement with Barcelona as they did when bringing in Gomes on his initial loan deal. With the promise of playing regular football, returning to familiar surroundings on Merseyside, working with a top boss like Carlo Ancelotti, and playing with his countryman Richarlison and Bernard, why wouldn’t Coutinho consider a season-long loan at Everton a perfect opportunity to get back on track?
