Joe Ledley – The Welsh international struggled to get into the game and didn’t make the most of his opportunity against such a good side. He doesn’t have the tenacity to compete against the likes of Ngolo Kante, while his technical ability is limited and he can’t influence matches against the top teams. 5

James McArthur – His runs from midfield have become a lot more threatening this season and he caused Chelsea problems today. Overall, he played well and competed in the midfield areas. 6

Wilfried Zaha – It is clear that there is a lot of confidence in his game at the moment and his positivity put Chelsea on the back foot at times. He has the pace and skill to cause the best teams in the league problems and he showed that this afternoon. However, his end product was lacking and that will be a disappointment. 6

Yohan Cabaye – It was a better performance from the Frenchman, but he still doesn’t look like the player we became used to while he was at Newcastle. He was positive in his passing today, always looking to play the ball forward and came close from distance on one occasion. Palace need him to keep improving as he is their most technical midfielder. 6
