Martin Kelly – The right back caused Chelsea a lot of problems with his runs from full back, as he took advantage of the space vacated by Wilfried Zaha. His end product was good and he was unfortunate to be on the losing side. 6

Scott Dann – The Englishman could have done more to prevent the opening goal as he barely made an effort to challenge Diego Costa. Aside from that, he played well, but that cost his side. 5

Damien Delaney – He was solid this afternoon and dealt with Diego Costa well. His reading of the game was excellent and he understand his own limitations. Alan Pardew will be pleased with his centre back’s afternoon. 7

Joel Ward – He played well and kept Willian quiet until his withdrawal. The Englishman was reliable in possession and offered a good option down the left hand side. 6
