Caught out of position early on but hardly put a foot wrong after that, a comeback was vital after his disappointing display at White Hart Lane and he certainly produced one.

David Luiz – 7

Alert to leave one cross that he nearly put into his own net, he was calm and composed throughout both on and off the ball though he was rarely troubled.

Gary Cahill – 7

Attempted an acrobatic overhead kick at one end whilst remaining calm and firm defensively at the other. An all round good performance.
