N’Golo Kante – He has been superb since signing for Chelsea and was once again this afternoon. The Frenchman worked hard and retrieved the ball on several occasions. His passing has improved since his move to Stamford Bridge, while he came close to scoring in the second half, but his stinging shot from range was saved. 8

Nemanja Matic – The Serbian has been reborn under Antonio Conte and has formed a formidable partnership with Ngolo Kante. His passing was positive and he finished with an accuracy of 84%. In addition to this, he broke up play well with three ball retrievals. 7

Marcos Alonso – It wasn’t his best performance as Palace got most joy down his side, but he wasn’t given much help by Eden Hazard. In the long term, he is a player that can be targeted by opposition sides as he doesn’t receive any support defensively. That said, in possession, he was bright and threatened in attack on several occasions, including hitting the bar from a free kick. 7

Willian – The Brazilian would have impressed Antonio Conte with his work rate as he completed four tackles during the game. He is becoming more used the system and that is a positive for Chelsea move forwards. However, in possession he wasn’t as effective, completing only 74% of his passes. 6
