Cesar Azpilicueta – The Spaniard was excellent this afternoon and was the best of Chelsea’s three defenders. He competed well in the air and provided the assist for Diego Costa’s goal was a great delivery. He has adjusted to his new role quickly and is one of the key players for Antonio Conte’s Chelsea. 8

David Luiz – His improvement under Antonio Conte has been amazing to watch and he delivered a good performance against Crystal Palace. The Brazilian’s positioning has got a lot better and he prevented the home side on a few occasions. 7

Gary Cahill – The Englishman has been seen as the weak link of this Chelsea back four and he had some nervy moments this afternoon. He isn’t convincing when he is put under pressure and struggles when defenders run at him. Antonio Conte will want to bring in a better option for the long term. 5

Victor Moses – He has been one of the success stories of the season and he was good again on Saturday afternoon. The winger worked hard defensively and Palace didn’t get much success down his side, while his dribbling was positive and effective at moving his side up the pitch. During the match, he completed two dribbles and five tackles, emphasising how good he is in this role. 7
