Victor Moses – 6
Showed all of his pace and power in the seventh minute to burst through and set up Pedro to open the scoring, but went very quiet after that. A disappointing afternoon with a lack of influence for the Nigerian.
N’Golo Kante – 7
His usual self, Kante worked tirelessly and closed down every Burnley counter-attack and stopped them from breaking away on countless occasions. The only blemish was whether he should have been on the end of the wall when Brady’s free-kick looped over his head.
Nemanja Matic – 4
Looked disinterested throughout and never had any say in the game. N’Golo Kante was doing all of the work for the midfield duo and Matic seemed happy to just allow the game to pass him by until his substitution.
Marcos Alonso – 5
Woeful deliveries into the area led to chance after chance being wasted by the Blues as they tried to break down a well organised defensive unit in Burnley, the Spaniard was characteristic of the wasteful nature of the league leaders this afternoon.
