Got forward with pace but struggled to deal with the physical threat of Manchester City and couldn’t really impose himself against his former manager in Pep Guardiola.

Eden Hazard – 9

On the receiving end of a nasty challenge from Fernandinho in the opening moments and then had the biggest chance of the first half, bizarrely cutting back when he could have gone for goal having beaten Claudio Bravo. Well taken goal sealed the win on the counter.

Diego Costa – 9

He chased down every ball and was determined to cause problems, and his opportunity came when he took the ball down superbly before firing past Bravo to equalise. Crucial in the second goal, Costa made the difference between the two sides and bullied the City defence into oblivion.
