Victor Moses – 7

Challenged defensively and it showed, Moses improved as the game went on but found himself limited in what he could do going forwards with the likes of Leroy Sane and David Silva pushing him back.

Cesc Fabregas – 8

An incredible 40 yard pass set up Diego Costa to score was the highlight of his display and proved to be the turning point in the game on what was an efficient performance from the Spaniard.

N’Golo Kante – 6

Unusually careless on the ball. The movement and pace of the Manchester City attack caused problems for Kante as he adapted to a different partner in midfield.

Marcos Alonso – 6

Struggled to deal with the threat of Jesus Navas pushing him back and failed to offer very much going forwards either. Playing against superior opposition highlighted his weakenesses.
