Willian – 9

Superb throughout and scored a magnificent free-kick to give his side the lead. Had his teammates had their shooting boots on then he would have recorded a number of assists with countless opportunities created in a top class display.

Michy Batshuayi – 8

His movement was brilliant and he took his penalty well, but there is still room for improvement. He caused problems throughout with his pace and runs in behind. That said, his finishing was not quite up to scratch and needs improvement to make an impact against stronger sides.

Reuben Loftus-Cheek – 8

Similar to Batshuayi, he could have been on the scoresheet had his finishing been a little better, but he adapted to a role in the front three well. He made a number of powerful runs forward and constantly looked to bring his teammates around him back into the game with excellent passing.
