Solid and reliable throughout, he handled the threat of Tottenham’s attack out wide well and did not allow his lack of pace to be exploited. Lost Dele Alli for the second goal.

One of his best displays of the season, Luiz handled Harry Kane well and assumed the role of the leader in defence in Gary Cahill’s absence. A future captain?

Questionable marking for Harry Kane’s goal but was strong other than that moment. Certainly did not allow the moment to overwhelm him and took his opportunity well.
