How Chelsea rated as they booked an FA Cup final place at Tottenham’s expense

With new emerging that Antonio Conte had opted to drop Eden Hazard and Diego Costa for this one, Chelsea fans could have been justified to fear the worst ahead of the FA Cup final. However, they didn’t need to worry with a convincing and thrilling display.

Willian was a surprise starter and showed why with a superbly taken free-kick and a cool penalty either side of a Harry Kane strike after Victor Moses controversially won a penalty after a foul by Heung Min Son.

Dele Alli struck early in the second half to draw the scores back level but Eden Hazard’s introduction turned the game on its head once again with an exquisite finish before setting up Nemanja Matic to put the game to bed in incredible fashion with one of the goals of the season.

Thibaut Courtois – 6

Very fortunate not to have made a major error from Harry Kane’s late free-kick but he was assured throughout and could not have done much about either goal.
