Eden Hazard – He is the best player in this Chelsea team and he was excellent against Manchester City. The first goal was an excellent finish and displayed his clever movement, despite the space that was afforded to him. His second came after he missed a penalty as he scored the rebound, but he will be pleased with it regardless. Defensively, he managed to make four interceptions and that will impress his manager more than the two goals will. 9
Diego Costa – The Spanish international worked hard, but he didn’t manage to impact the game in the ways that he usually does. He attempted only one shot during the match and has now gone four Premier League matches without scoring. 5
Nemanja Matic – The midfielder will be disappointed that he didn’t start the match, but he was brought on at half-time and he helped make the side more solid defensively. He completed three aerial duels and 90% of his passes. 6
Willian – The Brazilian came on in the last ten minutes and added some energy to the game. However, he didn’t do enough to earn a rating. N/A
Ruben Loftus-Cheek – It was good to see the young Englishman get on the pitch, but he didn’t do enough to influence the game. N/A
